We are a steel fabrication facility, fabricating and installing specialty equipment for various applications in the sawmill industry for 30 plus years. We are a fast-paced shop looking for reliable, energetic individuals to join our team.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Welding and fabrication of steel assemblies & sub-assemblies
- Measurement and calibration of equipment
- Fabricate items based on blueprints, using strong knowledge of various weld form symbols
- Square up and weld various geometric components
- Proficient at flux core and metal core welding, CWB qualified preferred or ability to pass CWB testing requirements as required
- Operation of overhead crane
- Adherence to pre-established standards of performance, shop safety policies and procedures
- Maintain a safe work environment within the department and on each job
Qualifications:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- 2-3 years of work experience in the fabrication / manufacturing industry preferred
- Proficient at flux core and metal core welding, CWB qualified preferred or ability to pass CWB testing requirements as required
- Ability to communicate both verbal & written in the English language
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions via written, verbal, or diagram form
- Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 – 50lbs
Benefits:
- Hourly wage $28 - $34/hour
